Every little bit helps no matter your expertise, experience, or passion. Opportunities range from promotion, fund raising, sponsorships and community outreach to participatory science projects, river herring monitoring, invasive species patrol, trail reporting, wildlife habitat restoration, fishing line collection & documentation, debris cleanup, and educational awareness of pesticide usage including rodenticide impacts to the environment, wildlife, pets, and people. 


YES!!! We partner and collaborate with the City of Woburn, Woburn Conservation Commission, Woburn DPW, Woburn Recreation, Woburn Public Schools, Woburn Public Library, WREN, Mystic River Watershed Association, Earthwise Aware, Cape Ann Wildlife, Save Lexington Wildlife, Lowell Loves Wildlife, Save Arlington Wildlife, Newhouse Wildlife Rescue, Mass Audubon Rescue Raptors, MSPCA-Angell, MassWildlife, NOAA Marine Debris Program, and many other wildlife rescues and community groups across the state. All groups are welcome to collaborate with us in driving our respective conservation, wildlife, and environmental initiatives. 


Friends of Horn Pond, Inc was founded in August 2022 by Patty Sears-Joyce, Jeanne Bohen, and Jim Joyce. We incorporated as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit in January 2023.

There are no membership fees or annual dues.


Donations are welcome. We accept cash, checks, and VENMO (@friends-of-horn-pond). All donations are used for the advancement of our mission.
